Kit Symons is bullish about his chances of getting the Fulham job on a permanent basis after a comfortable victory against Charlton.

Hugo Rodallega's brace sealed a fifth win in eight matches after Scott Parker had given them the perfect start against his old club.

Symons has hauled the Cottagers out of the bottom three for the first time this season and is edging closer to getting the gig full time.

He said: “I'm very confident I'll get it, it has to be getting more difficult, with the team winning games, for the five-man panel not to see the obvious thing to do for this football club.

“The owner [Shahid Khan] is over the week after next. I don't know when a decision will be made or how it will come about. Hopefully we'll find out sooner rather than later.”
