Kit Symons hopes his chances of securing the Fulham job full-time have been boosted by the demolition of Bolton.

Goals from Hugo Rodallega, Fernando Amorebieta, Lasse Vigen Christensen and Tim Hoogland earned the Cottagers an emphatic 4-0 win.

Owner Shahid Khan this week announced a five-man committee to lead the search for Felix Magath’s successor.

But caretaker boss Symons said: “That performance and result won’t do me any harm.

"The two things I set out to do when I took over was to galvanise the club and get everyone pulling together and winning games of football.

“It’s going well on both counts so far. It’s a great feeling hearing the fans singing my name. I’m euphoric and on a high.”
