Kit Symons will be allowed to both manage Fulham and continue coaching Wales.

Whites supremo Shahid Khan has agreed his new boss can continue to plot Championship success and help former Cottage team-mate Chris Coleman get their country to the 2016 Euro finals where Wales aim to reach a major tournament for the first time in 58-years.

Seven years ago, Lawrie Sanchez was denied the opportunity to juggle duties for both Northern Ireland and in SW6, but Khan will leave the choice to his fourth manager in 11 months.


He said: “Kit’s the guy who will decide. I know in my case I have a number of interests: business, personal and what have you, and I think success in life is begin able to balance those.

“You can’t be one dimensional, so serving God and country are not mutually exclusive.”

The supremo also revealed there will be a limited transfer kitty for Symons to spend in the January transfer window.

“We’ve spent a lot of money and we want to invest and go about it the smart way,” Khan explained.

"The way we want to proceed is to see what our needs are and fulfil them. You’ve got have the resources to do the job.”
