Alan Judge has warned his Brentford team-mates not to allow any further slip-ups in the race for the play-offs as they prepare to face Reading.

Defeat at Reading would, in the balance of probabilities, end the Bees hopes of reaching the end of season showdown and Judge is determined not to let that happen.

Brentford's form in recent weeks has been poor with only a win at Fulham to show for their last six games and they dropped points against Derby, Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton.

The midfielder said: “We can't dwell on last week so we've got to go to Saturday and enjoy it. We still believe.

“Reading have had a tough week. They had a big game against Arsenal and were playing against Birmingham but they'll want to do. We'll go and see how many goals we can score.

“There's no point looking at other teams now. We'll try and win the games and see where it leaves us.

“We were watching the Wolves game before Bolton but we had to go and win and we didn't. We don't want any more slip ups as Wolves can overtake us.”

Having played through three similar games where Brentford dominate possession but create few chances and don't take them before gifting opponents a goal it would not be a surprise to see frustration creep into the camp.

But Judge denied this but admitted the Bees needed to stop conceding soft goals.

He added: “I wouldn't say frustration. We want to score goals and we've got to stop conceding silly goals. If everyone scored and we keep them out we'll be all right.”
