Josh Clarke has memories to treasure from the last time he faced QPR with Brentford at Loftus Road.

The 22-year-old scored the opening goal as the Bees went on to claim a deserved 2-0 win over Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side.

And it is something he is looking to take with him as Brentford look to the Carabao Cup to kickstart their stuttering league campaign.

“Hopefully we can get something out of it and once we get a win, we can push on from there. We can gain confidence and go from there,” Clarke said.

“I have fond memories from the last time. It's another one and we've got to go for it. I'd look to add another goal, if selected.”

Clarke is of the belief that Brentford just need one win in order to reignite their season, especially as their dominant displays have, up until now, gone unrewarded.

“That's what we need right now. We might be low on confidence but we're dominating games. We need to come together, get one win and go from there,” he added.

“We're creating chances. We need to finish them. We need one win and then our confidence will grow.”
