Jose Mourinho has called on Chelsea fans to help get the club over the final hurdle in their race for the Premier League title.

The Blues moved within three points of clinching the crown on Wednesday evening with a 3-1 comeback victory over Leicester City.

Didier Drogba, John Terry and Ramires all netted at the King Power Stadium to leave Mourinho’s side needing just one more win to put their name on the trophy.

Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace come to Stamford Bridge on Sunday and the Special One has asked supporters to inspire the players this weekend.

Mourinho said after the Leicester win: “I think Stamford Bridge must be ready to push the team next Sunday.

“We need to be win and we need Stamford Bridge not to be celebrating the title already. We want them to push us to the three points we need.

“When I arrive two years ago, Chelsea was struggling. Chelsea finished fifth when we won the Champions League.

“Last season we have an evolution and were fighting for the title until the end. This season has been magnificent.

“We are almost there. In the moment when we do get the last three points we need to be champions, I think the boys can be very proud.”

Marc Albrighton’s first goal in Leicester colours gave the hosts a half-time advantage but Chelsea showed why they are the champions-elect with a convincing recovery mission.

Mourinho’s team have been accused of playing boring football by Arsenal fans but the Chelsea manager thinks every team in the league wishes they could replicate his side’s success.

He added: “My experience in football has taught me to be just worried about my own feelings. I know what I feel in relation to the work we did in the last two years.

“I don’t need other people to recognise what we are, I know exactly are - I think we are what every team would like to be.”
