Jose Mourinho has been given a vote of confidence from the Chelsea board after a nightmare start to the season.
The Blues lost 3-1 at home to Southampton and have lost more times in the Premier League in the first two months than they did in the whole of last season when they won the title.
Pressure has mounted on the Special One in recent weeks with every worsening result but the club have ruled out sacking their manager, for the time being.
A club statement read: “The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support.
“As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team's performances must improve.
“However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it.”
