Fulham are considering offering a new two-year deal to midfielder Steve Sidwell.

The Whites have already tabled a 12-month extension to the former Reading, Chelsea and Aston Villa man, who is out of contract at the end of the campaign.

However, manager Martin Jol reckons Sidwell, who scored a spectacular volley in Monday night's 4-1 win at Crystal Palace, could go on for at least another couple of seasons following his recent performances.

"Of course you feel a bit worried after the game," Jol said. "They all come back and instead of one-year deals they want three years you know and this is probably no different.

"For me Sidwell can stay for two years, for example. We are talking to him and offered him a one-year deal but who knows what will happen."
