John Terry will not travel with Chelsea for their Champions League first leg at Paris Saint-Germain.

The 35-year-old went off with a hamstring injury towards the end of the first half of Saturday's 5-1 Premier League win over Newcastle.

Terry underwent a scan on Sunday but the Blues declined to reveal the results. His next appearance will be his 700th for Chelsea.

Brazil playmaker Oscar, who missed Chelsea's match with the Magpies, also took part in training and travels with the squad as does Matt Miazga and Jake Clarke-Salter.

A club statement read: “Guus Hiddink and the squad set off for France this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League Round of 16 first-leg tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

Travels: Matt Miazga

“John Terry hasn't travelled due to a minor problem with his hamstring and ligament.

“Oscar, who missed Saturday’s 5-1 win over Newcastle, was part of the travelling party having trained at Cobham this morning.

“Matt Miazga has also travelled, along with 18-year-old Jake Clarke-Salter, who has been involved with the first team squad since Kurt Zouma was ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Nemanja Matic is suspended for tomorrow's game but has made the trip. Pato has remained in the UK.”
