QPR may play with two strikers at some point during the season, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has confirmed.

Sebastian Polter has thrived as the lone striker in recent months and was one of Rangers' star performers in the 3-0 win against Leeds.

Washington still needs time to get up to speed after playing at Euro 2016 and the Dutchman does not want to risk an injury.

However, Hasselbaink will consider playing two up front and has been looking at it in training.

He said: “I had to give Conor four weeks off after the Euros because if you give him less you're going to end up having injuries or a bigger chance of getting those injuries and he is getting into it now.

“It's an option for me to play two up front and we're looking at that.”

Washington is likely to get a chance to impress when QPR take on Swindon at Loftus Road tonight.
