QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink expects there to be major changes to his side over the summer after they finished their league campaign with a 1-0 victory of Bristol City .

Karl Henry, who scored the only goal of the game when he dispatched a lovely curling shot into the top right hand corner, is a number of R's stars out of contract in the summer.

Junior Hoilett, Alejandro Faurlin and Clint Hill, who all starred in some capacity in today's game, are also coming to the end of their deals in west London and Hasselbaink expects QPR to enter a transition period now the season is finished.

He said: "Obviously there is more work to be done - we all know we are in transition.

"We've got some good characters here at the club and we have a base and we now want to work from that base.

"There are going to be some changes at this club, but we also have to understand that it's not going to be about only throwing money at it.

"It's about getting the right mentality and that platform, and having it right throughout the club.

"We want to make sure that we are all going in the same direction and are a good team, not just individuals."

The former Dutch star also added that he would like his QPR side to play with style, but admitted that it is not always possible.

He said: "Style is always something we want to play with, but it has to be possible - you are not going to win every game in style.

"Sometimes you have to dig in and battle, but we want to play with a style where we pass the ball and create chances."
