Rico Henry has been forced to withdraw from England U20s World Cup campaign in South Korea.
The 19-year-old would have been the first Brentford player to appear at a World Cup at any level, had he featured in the competition.
But his injury, sustained towards the end of the season and ruling him out of the games against Fulham and Blackburn, has forced Henry to withdraw from action. The Young Lions secured victory over Argentina on Saturday morning in their first game in the competition.
They face Guinea on May 23 before taking on the hosts South Korea on May 26.
Brentford B goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe has also been called up to the England squad to take part in the Toulon tournament.
He will compete with Ryan Schofield of Huddersfield for the number one jersey with the Young Lions' first game taking place against Angola on May 29.
England face Cuba for the first time three days later before rounding off the group stage against Japan on June 4.
