Andy Scott insists he will take the Johnstone's Paint Trophy seriously to keep Brentford's momentum going.

The Bees kick-off their campaign in the much-derided competition on Tuesday when they host Yeovil Town at Griffin Park.

Scott was assistant manager this time last year when his side crashed out at the first stage with a 4-1 defeat at Swindon Town. But the Bees boss wants no repeat this time, saying: "You have to take every game seriously.

"When we played Swansea in the Carling Cup a few weeks ago, even though we lost, our performance gave us a lift following the Bury defeat. "It helped us build momentum, and we don't want to lose that momentum by losing to Yeovil, whatever the competition is."

Meanwhile, injured parties Ryan Dickson and Ross Montague are back in training with the Bees.

However,Gary Smith and Sam Wood are still undergoing rehabilitation work and further from returning.
