QPR youngster Ilias Chair is targeting a regular spot in Ian Holloway's side after breaking into the starting XI in recent weeks.

The 20-year-old was a surprise inclusion for the trip to face Preston 10 days ago, and retained his place in the side for Saturday's home defeat against Leeds United, but the midfielder says that the challenge starts now.

Speaking to Get West London, he said: "It’s been really good for me, but it’s important to keep working. I just want to play and the work is far from over.

“His message was simply to play my game, and be myself. He and the staff all gave me a lot of confidence and it didn’t end well against Preston, but the luck’s not on our side at the moment.

“To stay in the starting line-up is my aim, and fight for my place by training hard, but it’s a good challenge for me."
