Ian Holloway admits that his QPR side are going through 'a difficult patch' as they prepare for a must-win clash with Birmingham City.

The Hoops have not won in their last six games in the league; a run which has sent them drop to 19th in the Championship.

Speaking to the club's website, he said: “We’re going through a difficult patch, as are they. But it’s a game we want to win and we’ll be doing everything within our powers to do so.

“The lads have trained well this week. They’re not down in the dumps. They seems ready, they look bright and we’ll go there looking to win the game.

“We need to get back to winning ways.”
