Ian Holloway was beaming with delight for Queens Park Rangers ace Massimo Luongo following the huge 5-1 win over Rotherham United on Saturday.

The Australian scored his first league goal for the Hoops - a header - to make it 4-1 in the second period at Loftus Road.

And Luongo deseved it for a fantastic performance in the middle of the park against the Championship's bottom side.

Holloway admitted post-match that his QPR squad were in total shock that Luongo had not only scored, but it was with his head.

"I'm delighted for him. He's been fantastic for the club and it does play on your mind (when he would score), said the boss.

"I think last week he was absolutely outstanding. All he needed was a goal and that will free him up.

"He thoroughly deserved it, and it was a header! The lads were all killing him, asking him 'how can you score with your head?'

"So it's very, very pleasing and you can look at the reaction.

"Even for the penalty, (Idrissa) Sylla has given the ball to Yeni (N'Gkaboto), because Sylla has got more goals than him.

"And the celebrations for it all? I think Nedum Onuoha ran 80 yards to go and celebrate with Massimo, and the good news is that it's growing, so I'm very pleased."
