Hull City manager Steve Bruce has praised former Brentford full back Moses Odubajo after his side’s 2-0 win at Brentford.

Odubajo, who signed for Hull in the summer from the Bees for £3.5m, has been in superb form for the Tigers since his move, and his manager was quick to praise his instant impact at the Club.

The England youth international saw his every touch booed by the home fans, unhappy at the way he engineered a move, but that didn't stop him impressing his new manager.

“Moses has been terrific since he’s come in,” Bruce said.

“He’s really been a terrific acquisition and I’m really pleased with him so far.”

Odubajo was making his first appearance at Griffin Park since his departure and put in a typically assured performance on the right hand side, keeping a clean sheet in the process.

The win put Odubajo’s new side top of the Championship through goals from Andrew Robertson and Sam Clucas. But despite the win, the Tigers refused to get carried away.

Bruce added: “Being top of the league, we’re always going to be a big scalp, especially as we’ve just come down from the Premier League.”

“Now we're top, we're gonna be an ever bigger scalp. But we’ve only played fifteen games so far, so there’s a long, long way to go.”
