Henrik Dalsgaard insisted he was fine after being knocked unconscious in Brentford's 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

The Dane was stretchered off after receiving lengthy treatment after a clash of heads.

However, he was soon walking and talking in the dressing room and stopped to update GetWestLondon on his condition.

“I'm fine. I had a bump on the head and it's fine now,” he said. “There was a duel and I think he bumped the back of my head so I was gone for a few seconds and feeling quite dizzy afterwards.”

Brentford will have to monitor the full back over the coming days and he will be a doubt for the contest with Reading.

He added: “I'm going to be all right. That's what happens in football. It was just one of those things. It's a small concussion.

“I need to be aware in the next few days. I'm getting on the coach home. I need my wife to look after me tonight.”
