Mick Lewis has replaced Garry Haylock as Hayes & Yeading United manager.

United have been on the lookout for a new boss following Haylock’s mutual departure in the wake of their relegation to the Southern League.

We revealed this week that a decision was due on the appointment of a new gaffer in the coming days and GetWestLondon understands pen has now been put to paper.

Former West Brom, Derby and Oxford defender Lewis is the man who has been chosen to lead the club forward as they bid to return to the National League.

He became caretaker boss at Oxford in 2014 following the departure of Chris Wilder to Northampton Town.

Lewis left the Kassam Stadium in July of last year and immediately joined the Hayes & Yeading coaching staff prior to Haylock’s arrival before departing soon afterwards.
