Hayes & Yeading are hoping to put the final nail in Dorchester Town’s Conference South coffin tonight while giving their own survival hopes a massive boost.

Dorchester dodged the bullet on Saturday with a late winner against Farnborough but will fall through the trapdoor this evening should United claim all three points.

United have relegation worries themselves and are only outside the drop zone on goal difference as they are locked level on points with Maidenhead.

Tonbridge Angels, who sit second from bottom are also in the mix, and could climb above the line this evening if they can beat Staines and H&Y fail to win against the Magpies.

But recent history suggests Phil Babb’s side will prevail in Dorset tonight, having beaten their rivals 2-0 at home a matter of weeks ago as Dean Inman and Pat Cox netted.

Cox banged in two more in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Bath and will be full of confidence for the six-pointer at the Avenue Stadium.
