Adie Barrance smashed in a hat-trick as Bedfont Green cruised through to first preliminary round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Visitors Barking had no answer

to three goals in 10 minutes from Green, who went on to win the extra preliminary round tie

4-0, giving boss Dennis Bainborough his first win in the competition in 26 years of management.

Barrance opened the scoring on 22 minutes when he was first to a loose ball after Tom

Merritt's header was saved.

Two minutes later he was on the mark again when Aaron

McLeish skinned the Barking full-back and crossed for his strike-partner to volley home from close range. McLeish got in on the act minutes later, picking the ball up on the right and cutting in before firing into the far bottom corner.

And while Barrance completed his hat-trick 15 minutes from time, it was Tom McCarthy, who is growing

in stature with every game, who was named man-of-the-match.

Green will have a sterner test in the next round when they visit a team from the league above in the shape of Ryman Division One (North) side Great Wakering Rovers.

Before that, they visit Raynes Park Vale on Saturday before hosting Badshot Lea on Bank Holiday Monday (11.30am).

Jamandhi Henry was also a hat-trick hero as Bedfont made it through to the first preliminary round too.

Henry struck twice within six first-half minutes against Molten South Spartan League side Haringey Borough to put Bedfont on the front foot.

And although Haringey pulled one back after the break, Henry completed his treble to clinch a 3-1 win and set up a home tie with Ridgeons Premier League side Tiptree United on August 30.

Before then, Bedfont travel to Hartley Wintney on Saturday before welcoming Chertsey Town on Bank Holiday Monday (11.30am).
