Harry Redknapp reckons the World Cup can only help QPR’s bid for the Championship title.
Niko Cranjcar and Benoit Assou-Ekotto were glued to the TV screen on Friday to find out who their countries face in the opening games next summer.
Assou-Ekotto’s Cameroon will play Mexico, while Croatia and Kranjcar and Croatia have the plum tie of opening game against hosts Brazil on June 12.
The incentive for the pair along with outside hopes for Robert Green and USA’s Oguchi Onyewu should spur the quartet to bigger better things reckons the boss.
Harry added: “It’s good for them and good for the club.
“I’m sure Niko knows he’s got to work hard to make sure he’s in that squad because they’ve got so many talented players.
“He wants to do well. He had little niggles and no pre-season that makes me believe we’ve still to see the best of him because we’ve only seen him in patches.”
