Hayes & Yeading will have to do without Matty Harriott for their final game of the season.

The midfielder has returned to Northampton Town after his 93-day loan spell at Kingfield came to an end.

It leaves boss Phil Babb with the task of finding some midfield muscle from elsewhere for Saturday’s visit by Dover Athletic.

It could yet be a crucial game in United’s bid to avoid the drop from the Conference South if Maidenhead upset the odds against Havant and Waterlooville tonight (Wednesday).

In a bid to increase support for the potentially decisive clash with Dover, Hayes & Yeading are offering a ‘pay what you want’ entry for the match.

It is a scheme devised in recognition of the efforts made by supporters during the past three years of the groundshare at Woking, which will end after this season closes.

United fans will be travelling to Maidenhead’s York Road next term as the club continues to build a new stadium in Beaconsfield Road, Hayes.

Hayes & Yeading will be presenting various awards, including the supporters’ player of the year, in the bar at Woking after the Dover match.
