Guus Hiddink has set his heart on winning the FA Cup for Chelsea.

With Manchester United racing away in the Premiership, and Europe's big guns on tantalising form in the Champions League, it is the world's oldest and most famous cup competition that the Blues' flying Dutchman will use as his yardstick for success.

Asked what success would look like, the man who won the European Cup with unfancied PSV Eindhoven said: "First of all, that Chelsea fans can recognise their team playing a way Chelsea should play.

"If you play like that, then automatically you will get your results.

"If you play well, and improve in the areas where there is criticism, then what is success? Success for this club is when you are in the month of May."

He added: "If I am not mistaken, on May 30 there is a game here in England..."

That is the date of the FA Cup final at Wembley. After a second consecutive season disrupted by the departure of a big name manager, both fans of the club and its owner alike are desperate for silverware.

Chelsea have had a relatively easy ride in the FA Cup so far, with wins against Southend, Ipswich and Watford.

They may not be relishing being sent to Coventryby the FA in nine days time, but will expect to progress against their fourth lower-league opponent this season.
