Of all the positions Fulham are rumoured to be looking for fresh faces - keeper might be last.

But Anders Lindegaard’s name has been linked with the Whites, who already have in-form Andy Lonergan between the sticks, Joe Lewis on the bench, and Marcus Bettinelli recovering long-term from knee damage.

Lindegaard joined West Brom from Manchester United for a free transfer in the summer of 2015, but found first-team opportunities limited.

The 31-year-old Dane has struggled for playing time with the Baggies, with Tony Pulis preferring to use Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill.

If there is any truth to the rumour, he will find Lonergan in top form too, even though the former Bolton gloveman was bought initially as competition for Bettinelli.

Lonergan rescued a point for the West London side at the weekend after pulling off a double save in the final moments of their 1-1 draw with Huddersfield at the weekend - as well as a string of fine performances before that.

Whites manager Slavisa Jokanovic has steadfastly maintained he needs a loan striker with the club embargoed on transfers, as well as the chance Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack might leave during the transfer window.
