Rui Fonte has the quality to play in all the offensive positions in the Fulham side, according to boss Slavisa Jokanovic .

The 27-year-old former Braga man has scored just the one goal for the Whites this season, in the 2-0 win over Ipswich, and has found himself being used in three different positions so far this season - the wing, the number ten role and as the front man.

It's currently up for debate on where his best position is, with fans believing he should be used as a central striker instead of being played out on the wing, but Jokanovic believes that Fonte has the quality needed to play in any role in his frontline.

He said: "He plays in the number nine or in the position of number ten and both wings, in all the offensive positions he can play good.

"For now, it is simple, if I take decision to play with Aboubakar Kamara I will probably use him in some different position to number nine, but if I make the decision to not start with him I will probably use Rui there.

"If I cannot use these players I can use Ayite or Kebano or some different players, in general I believe that Rui can play in all the offensive positions with enough quality.

"In the past, people before myself used him as a number nine or number ten and on both wings too."
