Fulham striker Adam Taggart has returned to light training after going under the knife to fix a niggling groin problem.

The Australian World Cup star has yet to make his debut for his new side following his move to Craven Cottage in the summer.

Taggart had surgery earlier this month and is expected to be sidelined for another four weeks as he builds up his fitness.

But the 21-year-old has taken the first steps on the road to recovery after he started jogging at the club's Motspur Park headquarters.

Taggart penned a three-year deal with the Whites after signing from Newcastle Jets for an undisclosed fee.

The youngster topped the A-League scoring charts with 16 goals last term, and appeared twice in Brazil as the Socceroos failed to make it out of their group.
