Fulham midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after going under the knife.

The 22-year-old picked up a hamstring problem during last month’s 1-1 draw at MK Dons.

He has not featured since and it has now emerged the former Manchester United starlet has undergone surgery.

Fulham physiotherapist, Chris Hanson, said: "Obviously Ryan's been missing since sustaining a rupture to his left hamstring which needed to be operated on.

"The procedure was successful and we expect a period of rehabilitation of up to three months, which we are already two weeks into."

Tunnicliffe as made 15 appearances for the managerless Whites this season and scored twice for the managerless west Londoners.

Fulham return to action without Tunnicliffe this weekend when Brentford come to town for a derby clash at Craven Cottage.
