FULHAM are set to reveal their second signing of the summer next week.

The Whites have already secured Sascha Riether on a permanent deal following a successful loan spell from Cologne.

Fulham have also been linked with swoops for Wolves' Bakary Sako, Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta and Roma's Maarten Stekelenburg.

Manager Martin Jol (pictured) has been busy behind the scenes and has confirmed one of those names will be playing their football at Craven Cottage next season.

Chronicle Sport understands that man is Venezuelan centre-back Amorebieta and Fulham are likely to officially confirm his arrival in the next few days.

"It is not easy," Jol said. "We have to pay a lot of money for these players. Of course if you have got players on loan you won't generate a lot of money. They go back, you don't get any money for them.

"We have to be creative again but from the names you named, there is already one on the board. But I will talk to the press next weekend and we will confirm everything."

Fulham currently have 10 players on loan or out of contract this summer, with Mark Schwarzer having turned down the offer of an extension to his expiring Craven Cottage deal.

Jol will try to persuade the Australian keeper to reconsider his decision, however the Whites chief admits that up to nine players will be heading out the door during the close-season.

"Of course there is a lot of players leaving us - seven, eight, nine - and there will be five or six new players in," he added.
