Brentford have put a £2million price tag on keeper David Button - but Fulham have no intention of paying anything like it with Marcus Bettinelli certain to start as Whites first choice.

Fulham are one of several clubs interested in the former Spurs shotstopper, who has 12 months to run on his deal at Griffin Park.

The Bees have already knocked back a couple of bids for the 27-year-old.

And the Cottagers have been told Brentford want £2m up front plus add ons if Button is to make the switch up the Thames.

He has been a virtual ever present for the Championship outfit since his move from Charlton in 2013, clocking up 141 appearances for the west Londoners.

However, he has refused to sign the new deal on the table and could move on.

Fulham are in the market for a keeper as competition for Betinnelli having sold Andy Lonergan to Wolves and loanee Joe Lewis has joined Aberdeen.

But £2m for a keeper in the last year of deal is out of the question - and Whites will turn elsewhere if a compromise can't be reached.
