Rene Meulensteen has put the futures of his star players on hold to concentrate on Fulham's survival scrap.

Dimitar Berbatov, Damien Duff, Philippe Senderos, Aaron Hughes, Steve Sidwell and Giorgos Karagounis are among those entering the final six months of their contracts.

However, Meulensteen insists Fulham's basement battle will take priority as he bids to keep them in the Premier League.

He said: “It is still early days. For me, it is about making sure we keep the momentum that we have created going, get more points on the board and stabilise ourselves in the league.

“Then, like any club, you need to strategically look to the future and to look at what needs to be extended. That is not something that has to be discussed over the next two or three weeks.”

Fulham face in-form Manchester City at Craven Cottage tomorrow.
