Fulham have confirmed Lucas Piazon has suffered a fracture dislocation on his right ankle and has undergone successful surgery.

The Chelsea loanee suffered the injury in the first half of the 0-0 draw with Leeds United at Elland Road on Tuesday night in the aftermath of a challenge with Conor Shaughnessy.

Piazon underwent successful surgery on the injury on Wednesday evening and will now undergo a rehabilitation period of the coming months, although there is no timeline on the recovery period from the injury.

This is the second serious injury the Brazilian has suffered in recent months, the first being when he suffered a broken jaw as a result of a challenge at Cardiff last season.

Fulham will continue to issue updates on Piazon's recovery as he continues his rehabilitation from the injury.
