Fulham are in real danger of being relegated from the Championship if they sell both Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele before Monday night.

McCormack’s transfer request has been rejected - and GetWestLondon is hardly surprised.

If anyone is going it’s Dembele - out of contract at the end of the season, but worth up to £6 million now and with Tottenham very interested in the teenage forward.

But if the Scotland international follows him out of the Cottage door with Middlesbrough favourites to land him, it leaves Whites with only one fit striker - Matt Smith.

The fourth, Cauley Woodrow, is injured and not due a return before the end of March at the earliest, and the cub is under transfer embargo.

It means they will have to depend on a loan move for a top hitman who has to somehow get Fulham out of a rut that sees them only four points off the drop zone.

However, if they keep McCormack, they will clearly have a disgruntled player on their hands, and the same one who reported ‘sick’ for the 1-0 defeat to Hull on Saturday but watched the game from the stands.

Whites boss Slavisa Jokanovic has repeatedly insisted neither are for sale over the last three weeks.

It looks as if he is going to disappointed unless Fulham can negotiate an arrangement that pacifies and allows McCormack to leave in the summer.
