Kit Symons is confident Fulham can keep hold of in-form striker Hugo Rodallega.

The Colombian tops the Cottagers’ scoring charts with eight goals but is out of contract at the end of the season.

Rodallega has netted three in as many games and can add to his haul in tonight's London derby against Watford.

But Symons is refusing to panic about the former Wigan frontman’s future with the January window around the corner.

He said: “Hugo is someone who is doing very well for us and is enjoying his football at the moment.

“I’m delighted he’s scoring goals and as a football club we will protect our assets. I haven’t spoken to him at all about a new deal as yet. That will be sorted out in the right way.”
