Slavisa Jokanovic was very happy with his side's performance after their comfortable 2-0 win over Brentford at Griffin Park on Friday night.

Sone Aluko and Tom Cairney scored goals in either half as the visitors cruised to victory.

The Fulham boss was pleased to see his side execute their game-plan so well throughout the match - especially complimenting his side's performance in the first half.

He said: "I am very happy because we got back-to-back wins. We put in a very good performance, we have shown our progress and I'm happy for the fans.

"It's a very good night for us.

"We played the first 45 minutes really well. We expected that they [Brentford] were going to press us a little bit harder in the second half.

"We found the balance, at the end we scored the second goal and won the game.

"We could have scored more especially in the first half. Generally we played very well.

"It's a positive step before the international break. It's positive for us because we kept another clean sheet.

"We try and improve step-by-step and be ready for the next game. The Christmas period is busy but we have to be ready for the Sheffield Wednesday game.

Jokanovic was also asked about Fulham's strong away form and what the secret is behind it.

The boss, in fact, said there is no secret - and thinks that his side need to actually improve on their home form.

"The secret is to try and improve ourselves at Craven Cottage.

"We made one important step in the last game - I expect that we can continue our progress in the game against Sheffield Wednesday

"I'm not thinking about the end of the season. I know very well what is the ambition, but I prefer to think about the short steps."
