Felix Magath insists he has no plans to add to his Fulham backroom staff amid speculation linking Mark McGhee with the assistant manager's post.

The German boss, who replaced Rene Meulensteen at the helm on Friday , has so far brought in Tomas Oralin and Werner Leuthard to help him out at Craven Cottage.

However, Magath has played down reports suggesting his former Hamburg team-mate McGhee will be joining him in west London.

He said: "I know Mark very well, not just from playing together. I met him last year and I visited him when he was manager at Wolverhampton.

"He’s a friend of mine. I only focus on the next game. I don’t think about who can join me. There’s no plan to bring anybody else."

Magath believes Fulham need to win six of their remaining 12 games to stay up.
