Fulham boss Kit Symons is set to have a massive clear-out in the summer and start from scratch.

In his most scathing attack yet on a misfiring Whites, he indicated the squad in front of him does not add up to a Championship team.

The 3-0 home defeat to Leeds last night came off the back of a second home humiliation on the spin following the 5-1 reverse to Bournemouth a fortnight ago.

In between came a welcome point at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, but it was back down the snake against the former Yorkshire giants.

Fulham's Manager Kit Symons looks dejected as he walks off the pitch at half time

Whites bossed the first half hour against Leeds, and did everything but score. Once the away side took advantage of lacklustre defending just before half time, it was downhill on skates.

Fulham can thank their lucky stars the three sides below them facing the Championship drop are also losing, but that did little to console an ‘incredibly frustrated’ gaffer.

“There’s a fragility within the group that’s been brought on from a long time of losing,” Symons added. “I took over with one point from 21, and the squad wasn’t in a great place.

“It’s picked up, but it’s always been a little bit fragile and that’s not easy to change. It takes time.

"To be successful, you need to assemble a squad for the Championship, and that’s what I and the club need to do. There will be changes in the summer.”

Headed for the exit: Bryan Ruiz

Kay Voser, Adil Chihi, and Chris David are as good as gone. Fulham will try to sell Maarten Stekelenburg, Kostas Mitroglou and Thomas Eisfeld, while Bryan Ruiz is set to walk at the end of his contract.

There is unlikely to be further deals for Tim Hoogland and Gabor Kiraly. Kostas Stafylidis is also set to return to Bayer Leverkusen after his loan spell, and the jury is out on centre back Nioklay Bodurov.

Three other loanees, Jazz Richards, Michael Turner and Seko Fofana, will more than likely return to their parent clubs.

Seeing red: Stafylidis (R) is sent off against Leeds

Forced to play on with 10 men against Leeds after Stafylidis was dismissed six minutes into the second half, it also wrecked the manager’s plans to give 34-year-old captain Scott Parker a breather before Huddersfield.

“I was potentially looking to take Scott of to rest him for Saturday, but right up to the end we looked as if we might get a goal back.

"We shot ourselves in the foot, which has been the story of our season.”

Top scorer Ross McCormack is also doubtful for the trip to the John Smith Stadium after picking up a knee injury against his former club on Wednesday who pocketed around £10million for him last summer.
