Fulham discovered a goalscoring touch in scintillating style as they won a terrific contest at Oakwell.
The Whites snapped a seven-game winless streak thanks to a clinical second-half display that ended with Slavisa Jokanovic’s side jubilant and Barnsley down to 10 men.
Four minutes in and the hosts took the lead.
Stefan Johansen surrendered possession with alacrity to Sam Morsy, allowing the midfielder to slide Marley Watkins in through the left channel for a simple finish.
Despite their possession, Fulham's travelling army voiced discontent at perceived aversion to shooting, although Chris Martin came close.
Lukas Piazon’s leveller, from a Scott Malone left wing cutback, was the first of three goals in a hair-brained five minute spell.
With the left side of Fulham’s defence vacant once more, in the 41st minute Morsy threaded Winnall through whose low shot went in off the post.
With South Yorkshire bottoms barely back on seats having celebrated their second, Fulham equalised.
Martin’s deft flick with the outside of his foot gave Aluko the time to draw Adam Davies out of his goal and make it 2-2 at the break.
Just over a minute into the second half, a high, hooked cross-cum-shot would have seemed innocuous even to Scott Malone but the left back watched his ball sail over Davies and into the back of the net from 30 yards, with his boots still on the chalk of the far touchline.
Malone was once again at the heart of Fulham’s fourth, issuing an outstanding delivery- definitely a cross this time - for a Martin header to end both this game as a contest and his 20-game drought in front of goal.
The red mist descended on the Tykes as Josh Scowen dived into a challenge with Scott Parker and referee Keith Stroud gave him his marching orders.
And that was definitely that as Whites rocketed up to a heady ninth on the table.
