Sheyi Ojo played the role of super-sub as 10-man Fulham fell to a three goal defeat to Wolves at Craven Cottage.

Ojo arrived as a second half substitute and scored twice within the space of 15 minutes before James Henry’s free kick wrapped up the win.

After a slow opening period, it was the Midlands visitors who created the better chances, with Benik Afobe and Adam Le Fondre threatening a lacklustre Fulham defence.

Mistake: Andy Lonergan

Andy Lonergan was forced into several smart saves from the duo, before Whites’ midfielder Tom Cairney saw a straight red card for a two-footed lunge at Le Fondre.

Despite going into the break level, manager Kenny Jackett brought on Ojo in what proved to be an inspired substitution.

And Ojo did just what he was asked, netting an effort from distance after 56 minutes which bent marginally inside the far post after taking a slight deflection.

Man in charge: Fulham boss Kit Symons

But before the Cottagers could shake off the blow they found themselves a second goal down just two minutes later- with Lonergan the prime culprit after spilling a seemingly simple shot into the net behind him.

And Henry added some well-deserved gloss to the scoreboard when he slammed a central free-kick from the edge of the box into the top corner to top off a miserable night for the hosts.
