AFC Wimbledon's habit of scoring late goals will begin to frighten opponents, according to Adebayo Azeez.

The Dons struck twice in the final five minutes on Saturday to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win and it is not the first time they have left it late over the first seven weeks of the League Two campaign.

Eight of the 12 points Neal Ardley' side have won this season have come courtesy of goals inside the final 15 minutes.

Yeovil, Exeter and Crawley have also suffered from the force of Dons' relentless attacking threat.

Azeez believes it will give upcoming opponents the feeling if they don't put the men of Kingsmeadow away any missed opportunities will come back and bite them and that sense of uncertainty is something he and his team-mates can exploit.

"Teams playing against us are never going to feel safe," he said. "Hopefully that puts fear into our opponents and with that fear mistakes come on their side."

Next in the firing line of the masters of the late show are Saturday's hosts Luton where Azeez and co will attempt to extend their unbeaten record on the road this season.

The upturn in fortunes on their travels is in marked contrast to the latter part of the last campaign which saw Dons fail to bring home three points from any game between new year and the end of the season.

Azeez claims boss Ardley has instilled an altogether different mentality this term.

He added: "The gaffer has put that belief in us that whether we are up or down we will make it hard for the other team.

"Maybe it was a negative mindset before, but this year the gaffer has said forget about last season, we can beat teams both home and away.

"He has given us a new freedom by making us aware of the things that make us a good team."
