Speaking to Max Rushden and Micky Quinn on the Sports Breakfast, Redknapp said: "Darren Way rang me and asked me if I can pop down any time I can and spend the morning with him.

"I wouldn't be making a commitment long-term or full-time. I am going to do down, have a cup tea and have a chat with him. After that, if I can get to a game I will do, but it is not something I will be doing full on."
