Former QPR stars returned to Loftus Road to roll back the years for Football Aid.

Ex-Rangers players Kevin Gallen, Richard Langley, Andy Sinton, Rufus Brevett and Wayne Fereday teamed up with R’s fans for a festival of football in W12.

QPR U21s boss Steve Gallen went head to head with his brother in the first of two charity matches.

“It’s nice to be back out there,” Kevin told the official QPR website.

“Just putting on the kit, playing out on the pitch for the first time in six or seven years. I quite fancied a kickabout too.

“It’s a great cause and a good opportunity to meet some fans too.”

Gallen was a free-scoring Rangers player in his day but it was Sinton who found the net most regularly on the day, finishing with four strikes to his name.

Winger: Former Rangers midfielder Richard Langley

A whopping 19 goals were banged in on the day, organised by QPR in the Community Trust, much to the delight of former midfeilder Langley.

“I’d been looking forward to it for a long time," Langley added.

"I’d had a lot of tweets from supporters and they loved it out there.

“It’s for a fantastic cause and there’s so many people that benefit from days like this. It’s going on all over the country so it’s great to be a part of it."

Since Football Aid's debut season in 2001, 535 games involving 14,000 players have taken place on a UK, European and National level as the charity initiative continues to deliver exciting and groundbreaking fundraising events that allow supporters to live the dream.
