Sergi Canos paid tribute to Brentford team-mate Jota, describing their relationship as 'like brothers'.

The Spanish pair have an excellent relationship on and off the pitch, often travelling to the club's Jersey Road training ground together.

The Bee amigos worked together for the first half of the 2015/16 season before Jota returned to Eibar.

And they were reunited on January 31 as Canos was signed from Norwich, who he'd joined from Liverpool last summer, while Jota returned from his loan stint a month earlier.

And Canos, who previously admitted he had a difficult time at Carrow Road, paid admitted that his fellow Spaniard helped him a lot since his return.

He said: “Jota helped me a lot this year. He jokes. We laugh so much together. We are like brothers.”

Jota scored 12 goals, setting up a further five, since his return, while Canos scored four, assisting another, since joining Brentford permanently.
