Former Chelsea defender John Terry has perhaps had a lucky escape with the news he will not travel with Aston Villa to QPR in two weeks.

The 36-year-old was due to feature at Loftus Road on November 18th, his first return to west London since leaving the Premier League Champions.

The news comes as the former England captain broke his metatarsal in Villa's 2-1 home defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.

It's expected that he will be out for three months, meaning he will not be part of the side that lines up at Loftus Road.

QPR fans were looking forward to seeing the talisman of their biggest rivals, and would no doubt have done everything they could to make it as uncomfortable an experience as possible him.

Unfortunately for them their eagerly anticipated reunion will have to wait.
