Nathan Elder made his return to Hayes & Yeading United in Saturday’s defeat to Conference South leaders Boreham Wood.

The former Brentford, Brighton and AFC Wimbledon striker first joined United in the summer of 2011 before moving to Hereford.

He made his second debut for the club at the weekend as Phil Babb’s boys were beaten 3-0 by the table-toppers.

Lee Angol proved too hot to handle as the ex-Wycombe Wanderers youngster finished with a brace and Matthew Whichelow also found a way past Calum Kitscha.

Elder, 29, has signed on a short-term loan deal from Conference Premier outfit Dover Athletic.
