Chelsea and Jose Mourinho must forget any Andre Villas-Boas baggage before their trip to White Hart Lane on Saturday, says David Luiz.

Mourinho and Villas-Boas are set to cross swords for the first time since the Tottenham boss left the Chelsea hotseat following an ill-fated spell in SW6.

But Luiz says the hype should be ignored and people should concentrate on a London derby that does not need talking-up.

“It is Tottenham v Chelsea,” said the Brazilian defender. “Not Mourinho v Villas-Boas.

“It will be a fantastic derby. Everyone will want to watch this game, everyone will want to play this game. It will be fantastic.”

There is all to play for with Tottenham presently second in the Premier League, two points ahead of Chelsea in fourth, and Luiz says Blues' north London rivals should not be underestimated.

“They have a great team,” he said. “It is always so difficult to play against them, this season is the same. We need to play to win because we want to be top of the table.”
