Florian Jozefzoon was happier with the fact he played the full 90 minutes than opening his Brentford account.

The Dutchman has been a regular in the Bees squad but has either come on as a substitute or has been withdrawn in the contest.

But he completed the full match at Oakwell, scoring in the 1-1 draw, cancelling out Marley Watkins' opener.

He said: “Today was my first official 90 minutes in a year I think so I'm more glad to have the 90 minutes than with the goal.

“We have a strong team and that's good for everybody. Everyone can play and you can't see the difference. That's good I think.”

Jozefzoon's finish was calm after he was played in by Jota, lifting the ball over the onrushing Adam Davies and guided the ball into the corner of the net.

He added: “It was a good counter attack and a good ball from Jota through the heart of the defence. I saw the keeper coming and finished well.

“It wasn't really a relief because if you're winning games that's more important than scoring goals but, for me, it's nice to score and we should have scored more. It was nice for me, yes.”

The main talking point from the contest was the performance of Jack Bonham and Jozefzoon felt the young keeper's display proved that the Bees have a side with quality all over the pitch.

The Dutchman explained: “Brentford have a lot of quality, whether it's Bentley or Jack they're both really good keepers.

“You saw that at Barnsley with Jack. We didn't start very well and, in the second half, we should have scored in the first 10 minutes. It was an open game where both sides should have scored. All in all, 1-1 was fair.”
