Eden Hazard has 'instant world class' in his locker

Like Michael Knight's car, Eden Hazard has a turbo boost button.

And on several occasions during the battle with Stoke – he flicked the switch and unleashed instant World Class.

That he can do that almost at will is what makes him both amazing and, at times, frustrating.

But it also makes him probably the most important player for Chelsea in this title title run in.

If Hazard can do what he did today, in little bursts, against four or five more opposing sides – he will have his first ever Premier League winners medal before the summer arrives.

That may have been a very expensive 10 minutes for Costa and Chelsea

Diego Costa has been battling a damaged hamstring all season.

Chelsea have been putting off, and putting off the surgery he needs to repair it.

Jose Mourinho knew Costa was a doubt going into this match, after picking up a minor tear in the tendon at Hull City.

But, so desperate to chase the points, he was brought on at half time to work alongside Loic Remy.

Ten minutes later he was hobbling off, with a clear repeat of the injury.

A minor tear will be another two to three weeks at least. A more serious one – six weeks, and season over.

Could now be the time to send him for that surgery?

… and Remy being kept on ice shows Mourinho knows it

Scoring Chelsea's winner, Loic Remy barely had time to let the adulation die down before being hooked.

The decision was partly the sort of impact switch we've seen Mourinho do a number of times – put an extra forward on, score, take one off.

But it was also clearly an indication that Remy is now too precious to risk on playing minutes where he is not absolutely vital.

There are eight Premier League games left for Chelsea this season. And until that title is won, Remy will start every single one.

Will Chelsea win the Premier League?

Thibaut Courtois is no Petr Cech

The best young keeper in the world? Possibly.

But the emphasis, for now, has to be on 'young' – as wily old hands don't invite disaster in the way Courtois did today.

Charlie Adam's strike was outrageous, in every possible way. But the reason it went in was because Courtois was appallingly positioned, and with his eye off the game.

And this isn't the first clumsy mistake we're seen from him (largely to blame for the Hull equaliser two weeks back).

Courtois is the future – he has to be, with Cech a decade older, and likely to be packing his bags in the summer.

But before he goes, the Belgian needs to learn a thing or two from his senior about maintaining focus on the game.

The title decider could be only three weeks away

With Arsenal cruising to victory against a Liverpool that seemed to find defending less easy than their manager suggests, the north Londoners leapfrogged Manchester City to go second.

The points advantage there is slender, and City may well take back the number two spot when they travel to Selhurst Park on Monday night.

But it is Arsene Wenger's side who have all the momentum now.

Chelsea travel the short distance to the Emirates on 26 April – and a win for the Blues there would surely see the trophy sent to the silversmiths for etching.
