Chelsea have long been criticised for their inability to blood youngsters into the first-team setup at Stamford Bridge.

Last year’s Premier League Champions surrendered their title with a whimper after a dreadful campaign in 2015-16.

However, the Blues' youth side have experienced a contrasting year to the senior professionals.

The west Londoner’s U19s became the first side to win back-to-back UEFA Youth League titles when they beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in mid-April.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has made some inroads but is yet to really become the first academy product since John Terry to make the breakthrough.

Incoming manager Antonio Conte may finally gift the youngsters the opportunities they have both earned and craved if he deems the talented group ready.

But who out of the successful youth squad is likely to get a shot at the big time under the Italian supremo? Here’s a look at some potential candidates for promotion.
