Chelsea fans have reasons to get excited following the release of FIFA 17’s new gameplay trailer at the Gamescom 2016 video game expo.

The trailer features new signings Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante heading out in Chelsea shirts in the EA Sports blockbuster.

Typically, Kante’s ball-winning ability is broadcasted in a slide tackle that robs Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere of the ball at Stamford Bridge, as seen in the video above..

Belgian Eden Hazard is also included in the trailer which sees him hold off Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld before scoring a curling shot into the top corner past Hugo Lloris.

It creates a welcome sense of déjà vu for Chelsea fans after he scored a goal of similar ilk to gift Leicester the Premier League title last year.

Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus is on this year’s cover replacing Lionel Messi and Jordan Henderson who appeared on the 2016 edition.

Reus beat Chelsea’s own Hazard, Man United’s Anthony Martial and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez to the cover vote.

Cover star: Marco Reus of Dortmund

The game, which comes out on September 29, is available to pre-order before it makes its way into shops for its midnight release.

Up-to-date squads of players in their new shirts will make for inevitable enjoyment or pain depending on who you support.

Pep Guardiola will be in the dugout at the Etihad, Paul Pogba is in red doing his trademark ‘dab’ celebration, Gonzalo Higuain appearing in the black and white of Juventus and Portuguese wonderkid Renato Sanches will be playing for Bayern Munich.

This year’s edition includes ‘The Journey’ – a game feature which see’s you play as rising star Alex Hunter as he rises through the ranks to the Premier League big time.

But along the way he will have to deal with the criticism and the controversy as you control interviews and off-field decisions in order to make your way to the top.
